A native of Spartanburg, SC, Dr. Lanford joined Greenwood Surgical in 1995.  He is a graduate of Wofford College and the Medical University of South Carolina.  He did his residency in general surgery at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center/Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC.  He did a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Scripps Clinic in LaJolla, California.  He is a Fellow of the Amercan College of Surgeons (FACS).  He is a member of the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, International Society of Endovascular Surgery, South Carolina Vascular Surgery Society.

Dr. Lanford is President-elect of the medical staff at Self Regional.  He also serves as vice-chairman of the Self Regional Foundation. He is past-President of the Greenwood County Medical Society. He is married to Dr. Robin Morgan Lanford.  They have two children, Hayes and Savannah Jane.

 Dr. Lanford performs all aspects of vascular surgery, but has a special interest in cerebrovascular disease (ie Carotid Surgery).
