A native North Carolinian, Dr Hobson joined Greenwood Surgical in 1989.  He attended Davidson College and Wake Forest/Bowman Gray School of Medicine.  He did his general surgery training at Roanoke/University of Virginia.  He did his vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor University, under the world renowned surgeon Dr. Michael DeBakey.

Dr. Hobson is medical director of the Carolina Vascular Institute.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the prestigious Southern Vascular Surgery Society,  He is also a member of the South Carolina Vascular Surgery Society, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, DeBakey Surgical Society.

Dr. Hobson is married and has three boys.  He loves to fish and be outdoors.
